Glory be to Him who took His servant, Muḥammad, on a night journey from the Sacred Mosque of Mecca to the al-Aqsa Mosque in Quds whose precincts We have blessed. And fromthere, We took him to the heavens so that We may show him some of Our signs. Surely He is the Hearing, the Seeing. This verse is about the physical Ascension of the Prophet from Mecca to Jerusalem and from there to the holiest station in heaven. This great miracle of the Prophet occurred a few years before his emigration to Medina.S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)

“Our servants” in this case refers to a nation or people who subjected the Israelites to humiliation and servitude. In verse 5 above, it most probably refers to Nebuchadnezzar II, the Babylonian emperor (605-562 BC) who destroyed Jerusalem and sent thousands of Jews into exile. In verse 7 below, it most probably refers to Vespasian, the Roman emperor (69-79 BC) who also attacked Jerusalem. (Aṭ-ṭabātabā’i, al-Mizān, vol. 13 [Arabic edition] Tehran 1976, p. 46.) The verse 8 below, clearly states that this method of dealing with arrogant and transgressors people will continue.
After your abasement and humility, O the Israelites, you repented and amended your behaviour. Then We gave to you the turn to prevail against them (your oppressors),and We helped you with wealth and children, and We made you great in number.S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)

M. Rizvi (Explanatory)

Remember when We said to you, O Muḥammad, “Surely your Lord encompasses the people.” An example of Our knowledge about the people is the vision We showed to you about Banu Umayyah, who will destroy the spirit of Islam after you. That will be a time of trial for the true believers: We did not make the vision —which We showed to you about the accursed family tree in the Qur’ān— except as a trial for the people. And We frighten them, but unfortunately, it only increases their great insolence.S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)

No analysis is held for this word. The morphology corpus and this page disagree about how this verse divides into words, so nothing is claimed rather than guessed.
The analysis could not be loaded just now. Closing this and opening it again will try afresh.
Each lecture opens on the site that hosts it. The
recordings are the speakers' own and are not held here; what this project
keeps is the index of what exists and where.
