Is the person (like Abū Jahl) who shall be cast into the Fire better, or he (like Ḥamza or ‘Ammār) who shall come safely through on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you want, He surely sees what you are doing.S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)
Those who abuse Our signs are not hidden from Us. Is someone who is cast in the Fire better off, or someone who arrives safely on the Day of Resurrection? Act as you wish; indeed He watches what you do.Ali Quli Qarai
Indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses are not concealed from Us. So, is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you will; indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.Saheeh International

Surely those who disbelieve in the Reminder (i.e., the Qur’ān) when it comes to them—they are not hidden from Us and will be punished accordingly. It is indeed a mighty Book—S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)
Those who reject the Reminder when it comes to them... Indeed, it is an august Book:Ali Quli Qarai

falsehood shall not come to it neither from its front nor from its back or any other direction because it is a revelation from the Wise and Praise-Worthy God.S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)
falsehood cannot approach it, at present or in future, a [revelation gradually] sent down from One all-wise, all-laudable.Ali Quli Qarai
Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy.Saheeh International

Nothing is being said against you, O Muḥammad, but that it has already been said to the Messengers before you. Verily your Lord is indeed the Master of forgiveness for the believers and Master of painful retribution for the non-believers.S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)
Nothing is said to you except what has already been said to the apostles before you. Indeed your Lord is One who forgives and also metes out a painful retribution.Ali Quli Qarai
Nothing is said to you, [O Muḥammad], except what was already said to the messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is a possessor of forgiveness and a possessor of painful penalty.Saheeh International

If We had made it a non-Arabic Qur’ān, they, the Meccans, would have surely said, “Why were its verses not made plain and clear? What! A non-Arabic scripture while the messenger is an Arab?!” So no matter what, they will never accept the Qur’ān. O Muḥammad, say, “For those who believe, the Qur’ān is a source of guidance and healing; but those who don’t believe, there is heaviness in their ears, and to them it is a blind spot—they are like those who are be called to the Fire from a distant place.”S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)
Had We made it a non-Arabic Quran, they would have said, ‘Why have not its signs been articulated?’ ‘What! A non-Arabian [scripture] and an Arabian [prophet]!?’ Say, ‘It is guidance and healing for those who have faith. As for those who are faithless, there is a deafness in their ears and it is lost to their sight: [to them it is as if] they were called from a distant place.’Ali Quli Qarai
And if We had made it a foreign [i.e., non-Arabic] Qur’ān, they would have said, "Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?" Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure." And those who do not believe - in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place.Saheeh International

O Muḥammad, your situation is like that of Mūsā: We certainly had given the Book, the Tawrāt, to Mūsā but differences arose about its authenticity. Had it not been a word about deferring the judgement to the day of resurrection that had preceded from your Lord, the decision would have been finalized between them. And, O Muḥammad, they surely are in serious doubt about it (i.e., the Qur’ān). There is no room for any doubt since the criterion of salvation is clear:S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)
Certainly We gave Moses the Book, but differences arose about it; and were it not for a prior decree of your Lord, judgement would have been made between them, for they are in grave doubt concerning it.Ali Quli Qarai
And We had already given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement. And if not for a word [i.e., decree] that preceded from your Lord, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed they are, concerning it [i.e., the Qur’ān], in disquieting doubt.Saheeh International

The Resurrection Again: The unbelievers asked the Prophet: “Tell us when will the Resurrection occur?” O Muḥammad, say to them: The knowledge of the Hour of resurrection is referred to Him whose knowledge has no bounds: nothing of the fruits comes out of their sheaths nor what a female bears in her womb or delivers, but that it happens with His knowledge. And on that day of resurrection, He shall call out to them: “Where now are My partners whom you worshipped besides Me?” They shall respond by saying: “We have already informed You that we don’t have any among us a witness to our false belief.”S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)
On Him devolves the knowledge of the Hour, and no fruit emerges from its covering and no female conceives or delivers except with His knowledge. On the day when He will call out to them, ‘Where are My ‘partners’?’ They will say, ‘We informed You that there is no witness amongst us.’Ali Quli Qarai
To Him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, "Where are My 'partners'?" they will say, "We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that]."Saheeh International

On the other hand, if We let him taste mercy from Us after the hardship had afflicted him, he forgets Me and surely says, “This is a result of my efforts, and I don’t think that the Hour of doom will ever come; and even if it occurs and I am returned back to my Lord, then surely there is for me a good reward with Him!” This is his wishful thinking! We shall indeed inform those who disbelieve about what they were doing, and We shall certainly make them taste a harsh chastisement.S. M. Rizvi (Explanatory)
If, after distress has befallen him, We let him have a taste of Our mercy, he says, ‘This is my due! I do not think the Hour will ever come, and in case I am returned to my Lord, I will indeed have the best [reward] with Him.’ So We will surely inform the faithless about what they have done, and will surely make them taste a harsh punishment.Ali Quli Qarai
And if We let him taste mercy from Us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, "This is [due] to me, and I do not think the Hour will occur; and [even] if I should be returned to my Lord, indeed, for me there will be with Him the best." But We will surely inform those who disbelieved about what they did, and We will surely make them taste a massive punishment.Saheeh International
